Gilligan’s Tiki Huts began building quality Tiki Huts and bars in Florida in 1979. Bill White, the owner and builder of the huts, invested a great deal of time in research and study with the Native American Indians learning the techniques involved in order to perfect his trade. In the early years he was known to many as "the Hut Man" and "Gilligan" as in the popular TV series Gilligan’s Island, hence the name, Gilligan’s Tiki Huts, emerged. |

Gilligan’s Tiki Huts has created wonderful tropical island themes in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for many hotels, motels, major amusement parks, theme parks, miniature golf courses, as well as restaurants, bars, film studios, campgrounds, airlines, shopping malls, condominiums and private residences. Gilligan’s will create "COOL SHADE" using foilage, furniture, waterfalls and thatch structures that are native to the cultures and civilizations of the Caribbean, the South Pacific, and the Florida Seminoles. Under the direction of Bill White, together with his son and business partner Jason, a team of skilled thatchers travel worldwide to build authentic "Tiki" thatch structures also known as Chikkees, Ranchitos, Bohios, and Palapos. |
